I can’t find the course for the Vancouver Earth Run???
Hi Catherine, that’s correct -we have not yet posted the Vancouver run course. Generally speaking, the run will start at Jericho Beach Park, head east along the waterfront briefly before turning west. The course will then be an out-and-back, running toward UBC along the coast until turning around and returning to the start/finish at Jericho Beach Park. We hope to have a map posted within the next week, and I’ll be sure to email you when we do. Thank you for your question, and we hope to see you in June! -Andrea
Thanks. I’m planning to sign up. It sounds like the course will be fairly flat. Great location. Great cause.
If it’s not too late, I was thinking that most people doing this run must be environmentalists to some degree…..why not increase the entry fee by 5 or 10 bucks and source out organic t-shirts for the race? I think most people would be willing, and cotton is notorious for having a high water/pesticide requirement…..
Of course this could already be the plan, but sometimes these things are overlooked…..
Hi Jeff, thanks for your comment! We’ve actually worked with a shirt company to provide organic shirts with environmentally conscious printing materials and practices for our participants. We’re glad we can offer the best of both worlds – a wallet-friendly event with eco-friendly souvenirs!
That’s great news – thanks! We’re planning on signing up for the run…..safe to say we can sign up at your booth at EPIC Vancouver? Saw on the vendor list that you’ll be there
We’ll definitely be there! You can sign up and participate in our Mileage Challenge at the booth – wait till you see what we have in store! (We’re pretty excited.)
Hi Earth Run organizers, If I sign up as part of the “YNC Team”, does that count as a “team” eligible for: •1st, 2nd, and 3rd place fundraisers
•Largest corporate, family, or school group
•1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams
Yes it does!
Sounds like a great event! I look forward to participating. I’ve posted it to our Sustainability Television Events Calendar to help raise awareness about it. https://www.sustainabilitytelevision.com/events/earth-run-2012
